A Lesson in Life

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere.

If someone hurts you, betrays you , or breaks you heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.

You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

To all the beautiful women

One Flaw In Women

Women  have strengths that amaze men.

They bear hardships and  they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness, love and  joy.

They smile when they want to scream..

They  sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for  what they believe in.

    They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer

when they  believe there is a better solution.

They go without so  their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a  frightened friend.

    They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer  when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they  hear about

    a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts  break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a  family member,

yet they are strong when they

think there is no strength left.

They know that  a hug and a kiss

    can heal a broken heart.

Women  come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive,  fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care  about you.

The heart of a woman is what

    makes  the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

    They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral  support to their

    family and friends.

Women have  vital things to say

    and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF  THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR  WORTH.

Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious

And Don’t forget
Jesus Helped them all!!!

 One Solitary Life

He was born in an obscure village, a child of a peasant woman.
He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty,
Then became an itinerant preacher.
He never wrote a book.
He never held an office.
He never did one thing that usually accompanies greatness.
He had no credentials but Himself.
While still a young man, public opinion turned against Him.
His friends ran away.
One denied Him.
He went through the mockery of a trial.
He was nailed to a cross between two thieves.
His executioners gambled for His only piece of property - His coat.
He was laid in a borrowed grave.
Nineteen wide centuries have come and gone.
Today He is the centerpiece of the human race.
All the armies that ever marched,
All the navies that ever sailed,
All the parliaments that ever sat,
And all the kings that ever reigned put together,
have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as that
One Solitary Life.

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

 The Greatest Man in History:

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!

"If I offend some people with my life .... then I do  .... I do not live my life by other's standards .... I do not allow people to beat me down anymore .... cuz I do enough of that to myself .... I have no wish to harm anyone .... and for my past mistakes .... I am sorry .... I know that I will continue to make mistakes ..... I am not perfect ..... but I am a work in progress .....  and from the depths of my soul .... I wish you all .... Peace, Love, and Joy"

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

Lord, give me the strength to hang on during the hard times and the faith to know you'll be with me until I come out on the other side.

The greatest asset is FAITH. The most powerful channel of communication is PRAYER.

There have been many challenges but I believe God has helped incubate my faith. I've learned how to forgive and how to not harbor bitterness because it only keeps me in bondage.

"To love means loving the unlovable. To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable. Faith means believing the unbelievable. Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless."
'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.' Something good will happen to you today; something that you have been waiting to hear.

To experience true love, you must first endure severe pain

"In life, God doesn't give you the people you want, instead He gives you the people you need.  To teach you, to hurt you, to love you, and make you exactly the way you should be."

"Spiteful words can hurt your feelings but silence breaks your heart."

The Three Things

Three things in life that, once gone, never come back
1. Time
2. Words
3. Opportunity

Three things in life that can destroy a person
1. Anger
2. Pride
3. Unforgiving Nature

Three things in life that you should never lose
1. Hope
2. Peace
3. Honesty

Three things in life that are most valuable
1. Love
2. Family & Friends
3. Kindness

Three things in life that are never certain
1. Fortune
2. Success
3. Dreams

Three things that make a person
1. Commitment
2. Sincerity
3. Hard work

Clear Conscience

I am speaking the truth in Christ. I am not lying; my conscience [enlightened and prompted] by the Holy Spirit bearing witness with me. —Romans 9:1

We see that Paul referred to his conscience being enlightened by the Holy Spirit. Paul could tell by his conscience that his behavior was acceptable to God, and I am sure that he could, likewise, discern when it was not. That is the function of the conscience.

Paul spoke of the importance of keeping one's conscience clean. One of the main functions of the Holy Spirit in our lives is to teach us all truth, to convict us of sin and convince us of righteousness (John 16: 8,13).

Therefore I always exercise and discipline myself [mortifying my body, deadening my carnal affections, bodily appetites, and worldly desires, endeavoring in all respects] to have a clear (unshaken, blameless) conscience, void of offense toward God and toward men. —Acts 24:16

Since Paul made such an effort to have a clear conscience, it surely must be very important. Simply stated, that means we cannot properly worship God with known sin in our lives. The confession of sin should be the prelude to real worship. We must approach God with a clean conscience. There is no peace for the person with a guilty conscience. His faith will not work; therefore, his prayers won't be answered.

The two Scriptures that follow bear this out.

Holding fast to faith (that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence) and having a good (clear) conscience. By rejecting and thrusting from them [their conscience], some individuals have made shipwreck of their faith.
—1 Timothy 1:19

They must possess the mystic secret of the faith [Christian truth as hidden from ungodly men] with a clear conscience. —1 Timothy 3:9

Good evening...Just trying to unwind after a super busy day, one of those days where we don't have breaks..

My thoughts and prayers go to the bereaved families...

Be Renewed

God selected . . . what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame. And God also selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is lowborn and insignificant and branded and treated with contempt, even the things that are nothing, that He might depose and bring to nothing the things that are, so that no mortal man should [have pretense for glorying and] boast in the presence of God. —1 Corinthians 1:27–29

If you are weak in faith, in mind, in body, in discipline, in self-control, or in determination, simply wait on God. He will be strong through your weakness.

Isaiah 40:31 teaches that if you expect God, look for Him, and hope in Him, you will change and renew your strength and power; you will run, and not faint or become tired. The Bible doesn’t say “hope so, it could be, or it may be”; it declares that you will be renewed.

Sending our sincere condolences to the parents of the beautiful angel who passed on..and to the rest of the family members.  She fought a good fight for an illness that has no boundaries...God took her back to his beautiful garden...May you find ur source of comfort from the Most High..

Good afternoon...mmm Beautiful warm Sunday...beautiful indeed..

We went for an afternoon drive just to enjoy the day, it's soo easy to take things for granted.

I certainly had my share of challenges recently...dealing with difficult people.  I find these ppl have been my greatest teachers..learning to be patient, tolerant and to be creative  in how to deal with them.

Uniquely Gifted to Help

Do not neglect the gift which is in you, [that special inward endowment} . . . —1 Timothy 4:14

Helen Keller achieved amazing goals despite being unable to see or hear. At 19 months of age, an illness caused her to go completely blind and completely deaf. Helen's parents sought help for her in Boston at Perkins School for the Blind.

The Perkins School assigned a tutor named Anne Sullivan to work with the child. Helen was terribly frustrated and often became resistant and violently angry. Many teachers would have lost their patience, but Anne Sullivan kept her composure and persisted in her efforts to teach Helen.

Eventually, Helen learned to read Braille, to write, and even to speak.

Helen also decided she wanted to attend college. Anne Sullivan helped her prepare and gain acceptance to Radcliffe College, associated with Harvard University. With Sullivan's help, she graduated with honors, having mastered several languages, four years later.

While in college, Helen started a writing career that would last more than 50 years. She went on to receive many awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

A vital key to her success was the fact that Anne Sullivan believed in her. Her patience, wisdom, and teaching ability combined to make her a uniquely gifted teacher for Helen.

Love Others Today: God has uniquely gifted you to help someone. Be available as God opens doors for you to do so.

Bidding everyone, a wonderful prosperous Happy New Year!

What Humility Can Do

I once read this statement: "It is yet to be seen what God could do through a man or woman who would give Him all the glory."

To truly live a confident, humble life, you'll need to remember where your abilities come from. The more talented you are, the more humble you should become. It should amaze you that God would put those gifts in you. It should amaze you that God would enable you to do anything. It's only with that attitude that God's glory can be fully shown through your life.

QUOTES FROM MOTHER THERESA

Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.

It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start.

Intense love does not measure, it just gives.

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.
